CITY COUNCIL Sant Pere de Torello ABOUT TO GIVE PERMISSION TO THE PROJECT OF HEAT, becoming deaf to the whole movement opponents.
From the Platform Antiincineradora Vall del Ges wish to express our indignation at the resolution of the license from City Hall of Sant Pere de Torello, quite favorable to draft biomass thermal incinerator. Les entitats ecologistes han demanat el suport clar a una llei per reduir al màxim les bosses de plàstic d'un sol us, i una postura crítica i decidida davant d'una revisió de la LERE (Ley de Envases y Residuos de Envases) a la baixa per part del govern espanyol, d'entre moltes altres qüestions que s'han tractat.
21 de desembre de de 2008 CARAVANA FESTIVA PER LA VALL DEL GES
Una nombrosa caravana festiva de cotxes amb pancartes, bandeloles , textos escrits i megafornia ha recorrgut els carrers de Torelló , Sant Vicenç de Torelló , Vila-seca, Borgonyà i Sant Pere de Torelló per manifestar el seu desacord amb el projecte de construcció d'una planta de generació elèctrica per combustió de biomassa a Sant Pere de Torelló . A l'inici i al final del recorregut els assistents, en correspondència a les diades nadalenques, han cantat unes versions adaptades de les populars nadales “FUM,FUM,FUM and “TINC UN PÈL DE FUM (Gingle bells). 18 de desembre de 2008. REUNIÓ AMB EL DEPARTAMENT DE MEDI AMBIENT.
En el context d'un seguit de reunions sectorials, la Federació d'Ecologistes de Catalunya ha reunit amb la Direcció General de Polítiques Ambientals i Sostenibilitat , encapçalada per Frederic Ximeno . Entre els sis representants de la Federació, un membre de la Plataforma Antiincineradora de la Vall del Ges . S'ha debatut sobre la llei d'Avaluació Ambiental de Plans i Propostes i la seva concreció als diversos sectors. S'ha acordat celebrar una altra reunió amb el senyor Ximeno el mes que ve per tal de parlar d'energia i les seves conseqüències mediambientals.
4 de desembre de 2008. NOVA TROBADA AMB L'OGAU
Membres de la Plataforma Antiincineradora de la Vall del Ges , acompanyats per membres de la Plataforma Antiincineradora de la Garriga s'han trobat a Barcelona amb tècnics de l' OGAU , l'oficina de gestió ambiental unificada del departament de Medi Ambient. Aquesta Oficina ha d'emetre un informe per a la posterior aprovació de la llicència ambiental del projecte de planta de Sant Pere de Torelló . Aquesta reunió ha estat continuació de la que es va efectuar el dia 6 de novembre. La Plataforma va lliurar una sèrie de demandes perquè s'incorporessin a les que l'OGAU demana al'empresa promotora ( la UTE de COMSA i CASSA). Paral·lelament, la Plataforma Antiincineradora de La Garriga va lliurar un estudi fet pels doctors Josep Ferrís i Júlia Garcia Castell “ Efectes adversos en la salut humana dels contaminants emesos per la planta de cogeneració amb biomassa de La Garriga”. Com és sabut, a La Garriga es vol fer una tèrmica de biomassa gairebé tan gran com la de Sant Pere de Torelló .

In an interesting conference that took place yesterday Torello , Dr. Josep Ferrer i Tortajada made a long and detailed exposition on the dangers of pollution in general and on biomass in particular, especially when the biomass should be used en masse as in the case of St. Peter Torello and the weather conditions of temperature inversion affecting our area during the winter. (see photo taken the day of the conference) Dr. Ferris, who has studied the project said that introduces gaps and inaccuracies important and also reminded the catastrophic effects of temperature inversion in the West in some particular cases and the high number of casualties incurred. Diumenge, 23 de novembre , a les 11 del matí, a la salla d'actes de Gestiomat el Dr. "Biomass in San Pedro, Vall del Ges health?" Sunday 23 November at 11am, the acts of Salla Gestiomat Dr. donarà una conferència amb el títol que encapçala aquesta notícia. Josep Ferrer i Tortajada will give a lecture with the title which heads this notice. This doctor brings many years of battling cancer and infant has proven over the years to what extent the environment and its pollution is caused by a large proportion of these cancers. Ferriz will present his recent study which concludes that when biomass is used in an industrial sized projects such as the seeking of St. Peter Torello La Garriga, or are clearly harmful to human health, especially children, the sick and the elderly.

Plataforma Antiincineradora s'han entrevistat amb el cap de l' Oficina de Gestió Ambiental Unificada (OGAU) de Barcelona i altres tècnics i els han exposat els motius per a oposar-se al'autorització ambiental de la nova tèrmica de Sant Pere de Two members of the Platform Antiincineradora were interviewed with no rating of Unified Environmental Management Office (OGAU) of Barcelona and other technicians and have given reasons to oppose the authorization of the new thermal environment of St. Peter Torello . 31 d'octubre de 2008. FÀBREGA CARREGA CONTRA LA PLATAFORMA
Jordi Fàbrega , Delegat del Govern per a les Comarques Centrals i alcalde de Sant Pere de Torelló , ha publicat un extens article a diverses revistes de la comarca titulat “ Per què menteixen els antiincineradora? ” en el que carrega durament contra els qui han presentat al·legacions, especialment als de Torelló que assenyala com a ignorants que no saben què signen. Acusa la Plataforma de crispar i diu que el projecte de tèrmica que impulsa i que hauria de cremar 70.000 tones anuals de biomassa és una meravella. Aquest és l'alcalde que ha d'autoritzar mediambientalment un projecte que ell mateix promou. Queda patent que l'enorme recolzament a les al·legacions per part de la població de la vall (pràcticament doblant les que es van aconseguir contra el projecte de fa 4 anys) ha inquietat Fàbrega, del qual no s'entén l'entestament a promoure, un cop rere l'altre, tres projectes incineradors en només vuit anys si no és per la imperiosa necessitat que suposa un consistori molt endeutat fins a les celles a causa de la mateixa tèrmica actual, però també per un seguit d'altres errors municipals.
25 d'octubre de 2008 ES PRESENTEN AL·LEGACIONS A LA PETICIÓ D'AUTORITZACIÓ DE LA BIOINCINERADORA
Avui,dissabte, que vencia el termini, la Plataforma Antiincineradora de la Vall del Ges ha presentat el seu plec d'al·legacions davant la petició d'autorització ambiental del projecte de bioincineradora que es vol construir a Sant Pere de Torelló . En només quatre dies de dimarts la Plataforma antiincineradora ha aconseguit el recolzament de 12 entitats de la vall del Ges i de més de 1.600 signatures. A hores d'ara, però, encara continuen arribant recolzaments a les nostres al·legacions, així com al·legacions d'altres entitats. Sabem també que els altres ajuntaments de la vall ( Torelló i Sant Vicenç de Torelló ) han presentat les seves al·legacions que tenen un sentit molt similar a les nostres. Tota aquesta oposició al projecte serà enviada al Consell Comarcal d'Osona per tal que es manifesti. La Plataforma està molt satisfeta de la mobilització de la vall però es mostra pessimista sobre la seva eficàcia perquè qui ha de donar autorització al projecte és el mateix ajuntament (Sant Pere de Torelló ) que ha promogut aquest projecte in'ha marcat les característiques fins al'últim detall. 20 d'octubre de 2008. ASSEMBLEA DE LA PLATAFORMA ANTIINCINERADORA A SANT VICENÇ DE TORELLÓ
Aquest vespre ha tingut lloc a Sant Vicenç una assemblea de la Plataforma Antiincineradora per debatre la petició d'autorització mediambiental que ha presentat l'empresa que promou la tèrmica-incineradora que es vol construir a Sant Pere de Torelló . S'han valorat aspectes com el secretisme de l'ajuntament de Sant Pere de Torelló, el gran malbaratament d'energia que suposarà, l'enganyifa que suposa que treguin a concurs la gestió d'una planta per donar calefacció i aigua calenta a Sant Pere i el projecte resultant sigui una planta per a fer electricitat, l'estranya ubicació de la planta, la contaminació de l'aire que suposarà, sense oblidar la contaminació acústica, la incògnita d'on es pensa treure el combustible biomàssic. S'ha acordat, de moment, presentar al·legacions a les que s'hi puguin adherir els veïns i les entitats que ho vulguin, malgrat que el termini expira el dissabte 25 d'octubre.
14 d'octubre de 2008. NOTA DE PREMSA DAVANT LA PETICIÓ D'AUTORITZACIÓ AMBIENTAL DE LA TÈRMICA
DEMANEN AUTORITZACIÓ AMBIENTAL PER A LA NOVA TÈRMICA-INCINERADORA
Fa pocs dies l'ajuntament de Sant Pere de Torelló ha publicat al BOPb un anunci per al'autorització ambiental d'una nova instal·lació de crema de “biomassa”, que ja va adjudicar el 2007 a les empreses Cassa i Comsa i Aigües de Sabadell. Es tracta del tercer projecte que s'intenta des del 2001.
Després del fracàs dels dos anteriors projectes incineradors, la nostra associació manifesta la seva perplexitat davant la tossuderia d'aquest ajuntament en promoure una nova planta de grans dimensions en el seu terme municipal, en contra de la voluntat manifestada abastament per la població, entitats i altres ajuntaments de la vall del Ges.
Però l'ajuntament tira endavant amb aquest projecte, al qual només falta la autorització ambiental que ha de donar-li ell mateix.
La ubicació de la planta, al límit del seu terme municipal ia pocs metres de la població de Sant Vicenç i de la de Torelló , incrementarà la contaminació ja existent al'aire de la nostre zona, així com aportarà una colla de decibels als veïns, al límit màxim (60) que els permet la normativa.
El combustible a cremar sota el bondadós nom de “biomassa”, sembla inofensiu. Però les 65.000 tones anuals previstes signifiquen un bon grapat de partícules i altres components contaminats llençades al'atmosfera ia sobre els conreus, implacablement, 24 hores al dia, 365 dies al'any. Per exemple, 2.000.000 de kg anuals de cendres que sortiran per la xemeneia, on aniran a parar, any rere any?
Com els anteriors, aquest projecte no té en compte l'especial climatologia de la comarca, on la inversió tèrmica i la boira són evidents a qualsevol que s'hi passegi.
Per a ells el clima és “mediterrani” i prou, i així queden ben descansats i no han d'assumir que en llocs amb una climatologia com la nostra, són del tot inadequades instal·lacions que fumegin i contaminin com aquesta.
L'ajuntament de Sant Pere de Torelló podrà ara sanejar les seves arques, uns quants veïns del seu municipi potser podran escalfar la casa per sota del preu de mercat il'empresa podrà vendre força electricitat i així cobrar les primes que són la base del seu interès, però, a la resta d'habitants de la vall del Ges, què ens quedarà?... Només un aire i un sòl més contaminats encara i una salut que se'n ressentirà inexorablement.
Per això, ens reunirem en assemblea de veïns el proper dilluns, 20 d'octubre, ales 21 hores ia la Sala de Cultura de l'ajuntament de Sant Vicenç de Torelló ens posarem altra vegada mans a la feina, per aturar aquesta nova bestiesa. Hi esteu convidats.

El Dr. Joseph Ferris i Tortajada, metge pediatre-oncòleg al'hospital de la Fe, de València ii de la OMS (Organització Mundial de la Salut) ha donat una conferència a la Garriga de “Incineració, i salut” en la que ha alertat dels perills de la incineració fins i tot si s'utilitza la biomassa forestal com a únic combustible.

3 de juliol de 2008 CATALUNYA LLIURE DE BOSSES DE PLÀSTIC
Avui s'inicia la campanya contra les bosses de plàstic d'un sol ús. És tracta d'una ampla campanya iniciada des de la societat civil que busca la complicitat de la societat civil i de les institucions. Es tracta de conscienciar la gent del mal ecològic que suposa l'amuntegament dels residus que suposen les bosses, que no compensa en absolut la seva utilitat, per tal que els catalans canviïn d'hàbits al'hora d'anar a comprar i per acabar finalment amb un impost universal sobre aquests plàstics que les acabi de desterrar, tal com ha passat darrerament a Irlanda ia altres països.
